Obsession

Here we narrate a distorted love and a jealousy that transforms into obsession, revealing the darkest side of possession. The profile of a woman painted in red symbolizes vulnerability and the intensity of emotions, while the red velvet with a single green earring becomes the symbol of a shattered life. "You must be mine alone," shouts the aggressor, turning love into a lethal weapon. This composition serves as a warning about the fragility of relationships and the devastating nature of violence. In the Lunata murder, the line between love and destruction had become thin. A tribute to the memory of the woman victim of the femicide in Lunata.

This diptych tells a story of loss and vulnerability, intertwining powerful symbols to evoke the weight of a toxic love and its consequences.

The vertical bands of red, black, and green blend like conflicting emotions: red burns with passion and rage, black envelops in the shadow of pain, while green suggests a fragile hope, often betrayed by reality. In this interplay of colors, we see the distortion of a feeling that turns from love into obsession, ultimately leading to tragedy.

At the center of the composition, the profile of a woman emerges against an intense red background. Her figure seems suspended between desires and fears, between what could have been and what was. It is an image of fragility, trapped in the emotional tension of a suffocating relationship where love has turned into a prison.

On the right, a square of red velvet holds a single green earring. This seemingly simple detail carries profound meaning: it is the symbol of a presence that is no longer there, a broken bond, a voice silenced too soon. The soft velvet contrasts with the solitude of the object, creating a silent dialogue between beauty and absence, between memory and pain.

Together, these elements construct a powerful visual narrative that speaks of women, fragility, and loss. It is a reflection on violence but also on the strength of remembrance, on what remains after tragedy: a shadow, a color, an object that continues to exist, to tell a story, to resist.
